thoughts from session 2

  • Good idea to start the session with the check in question.
    • Eg: Who are you and how are you doing today?
  • It is important to create an environment where we can accept each other
  • What is that we need to do in order to capture and learn
  • Who / What am I now and how have I changed over the time spent on this course.
  • Keeping groups together:
    • Objectives;
    • knowing one another;
    • place;
    • rules;
    • vision,
    • threaten them;
    • Pay
  • One of the most important concepts is ‘detachment’ – the disengagement from conformities and manage the change – need to do something different and try to avoid the rules and conformity.
    • Need to suspend judgement so as to allow creativity to emerge.
  • See example of the Ad agency – not the ‘creatives’ that sit in a room but rather the whole company that contributes to the creativeness
  • What are the controls that makes this work?
  • It is currently a high level challenge to get people out of stability and comfort zones

We require a brief / concept to work through that provides the necessary framework, but this must not limit the creativity.
